Hi, I'm Deanna!

Raising five incredible kids filled my life with laughter, love, and the joyful chaos of carpools, scout meetings, and everything in between.

Now, with my amazing children venturing out into the world (with my youngest still keeping me on my toes!), I'm embarking on a new adventure: helping moms navigate the exciting, yet sometimes emotional, transition of the empty nest.

My passion for supporting women during this transition time comes from lived experience. I understand firsthand the rollercoaster of emotions that can come with this next chapter – the bittersweet freedom and the yearning to fill the quiet. But I also know the incredible opportunities it presents – a chance to rediscover your passions, redefine yourself, and build a future filled with purpose and joy.

For most of my life, my house was a symphony of chaos. With five kids, ages 31 to 17 (yes! I do still have one at home), there was always a basketball game, a choir concert, or a scout meeting demanding my attention. Volunteering filled any spare moments, leaving me feeling like a glorified taxi driver and homework manager. The transition to an empty nest, however, wasn't a sudden cliff dive. It was a gradual slope, one child leaving the nest, then another, until just my youngest remained. This slow shift allowed me to adjust bit by bit.

While some moms experience a deep sense of loss when their last child leaves, for me, the quiet holds a surprising beauty. My husband and I reconnected, enjoying dinners without homework battles and evenings spent talking, not shuttling kids.

But change wasn't always easy. There were moments of worry, the lingering "what now?" after years of a defined role. It was during this time that I discovered a passion for jewelry making. Those quiet evenings became filled with the satisfying clinking of metal and the sparkle of creative expression.

More than just hobbies, this period I'm in is a rediscovery of myself.
I'm not just "mom" anymore. I am a woman with interests and dreams beyond carpools and PTA meetings.

This journey of self-discovery led me to a powerful realization: many moms face the empty nest with a mix of fear and grief. They are missing a sense of purpose, a reconnection with who they are beyond motherhood.

That's why I became an empty nest life coach.

I understand the unique challenges and opportunities that come with this transition. I haven't just read about it or experienced it with one child; I've lived it with five!

Through my coaching, I help moms navigate the emotional rollercoaster of the empty nest. We work together to:

Rediscover your passions: Like me, you might find a new creative outlet or maybe you will rekindle an old one.
Shift your mindset: Embrace the freedom and possibilities this new chapter offers.
Build a fulfilling future: Create a life that aligns with your values and brings you joy.
Strengthen relationships: Reconnect with your spouse, children, and build exciting new connections.

You don't have to feel lost in the silence of an empty nest. Let me help you find your second wind. My story isn't unique, but the way I can guide you through yours is.

With my understanding of the emptying process, coupled with my own transformation, I can be the coach who helps you not just survive the empty nest, but truly thrive in this exciting new chapter.
